  • Darrang district recorded mixed result in HSLC and AHM final exams of Assam

    Mangaldai  : Darrang district has recorded a mixed overall performance in the results of the HSLC and Assam High

    Anurag Barman ( 6th HSLC)

    Madrassa (AHM) final exams that have been announced on Wednesday . Two worthy sons and one worthy daughter belonging to this soil has made the district proud by securing positions among the top ten in the State . Anurag Barman born to Amitabh Barman and Usha Rani Barman , residents of  Burha, a bordering village of Kamrup Rural district , under Pathorighat Revenue Circle of the district has secured the sixth position in the State with a total marks of 588 .     Abdul Aziz (2nd, AHM)

    Niketan at Bezera under Kamrup Rural . Anurag who wants to be an engineer in future will now join Science stream in Higher Secondary  standard. Jefrin Ara Ahmed , daughter of  Saahjahan Ali and Jinnat Juli Jaaman of village Duwaripara under Sipajhar Revenue Circle of the district has grabbed the ninth position in the State securing a total of 585 marks . Jefrin appeared from Happy Child English School in Sipajhar . Talking to media Jefrin informed her desire to become a Neurologist in future for which she would now pursue her studies in HS Science stream .

    On the other hand Abdul Aziz s/o. Arman Ali and Wahida Begum of  village Pipirakuchi , Sipajhar while overcoming the acute financial hardships of his family managed to secure the top second position in the AHM final examination by securing a total of 551 marks .Abdul Aziz appeared the exam from Pipirakuchi Anchalik High Madrassa . He is

    Jefrin Ara Ahmed (9th, HSLC)

    willing to become a medical practitioner and hence he will now pursue his further studies in HS Science stream .

    Meanwhile  the district recorded the top seventh position among the twenty seven districts of the State with an overall pass percentage of  67.93 which is slightly better than that of the last year figure of 66.12 % . However as far as the quality of this year’s  performance is concern it is relatively poor  in comparison to that of the 2018 . This year out of the total of 9931 candidates who had appeared 2069 passed in the first division comparing to 2454 in last year . In High Madrassa  the district recorded the overall success rate of 57.23% . This rate of success is almost four percent lesser that that of the last year .
