All students who had come in contact with a COVID-19 positive case or have any symptoms are quarantined and undergo COVID-19 test. The hostels with more number of cases have been declared as containment zones. Some of the other measures instituted include serving of meals at the rooms in all the hostels, irrespective of whether it is a containment zone or not, 100% testing and re-testing of hostel residents (staff and students), instituting a helpline number for a medical emergency, providing medicines in rooms after teleconsultations, dedicated 24×7 ambulance service and COVID care center. The entry and exit timings have been curtailed to two hours only for each student between 10 am to 4 pm, and students in hostels declared as non-containment zones are allowed to go home if found Covid negative.

Till yesterday night, the total number of Covid positive students at the Covid Care center at Ganga Bhawan in the campus were 101
