Revenues from Organic Chemicals were Rs. 575 crore in FY13, a growth of 36% over the previous year. Revenues from the Fine & Specialty segment stood at Rs. 299 crore, a growth of over 33%.

The Company has commissioned Stream I of its facility at Dahej in March 2013. The Nandesari Salt plant is expected to be in commercial production from June.

    MD’s message:

“The year in retrospect has been driven by excellent growth in all business segments. Revenues and profits have touched new highs and we have improved off take in domestic markets as well as exports.

The organic chemicals segment has been a key contributor to the strong performance. Other products developed in house have also performed well.

Going forward in FY2014 our main focus will be the imminent launch of our facilities in Dahej and Nandesari. While these will initially operate at a moderate capacity, once these projects reach full capacity utilisation this will add appx. Rs. 550-650 crore to our annual turnover. Dahej places us as one of the few fully integrated producers of Optical Brightening Agents in the world and our expansion in Nandesari gives us opportunities to cater to the renewable energy space which has now attained significant scale and offers visibility of growth.

With our current businesses operating efficiently, new products and exports doing well, as well as expansion plans set to pick up, we are very excited for a promising year ahead where we are prepared for more challenges and are looking forward to achieve greater milestones.”
