Kokrajhar : A delegation team from Ladakh  led by Dr. Ishey Namgyal, President of Municipal Committee Leh-Ladakh along with his team Punchok Tashi, Executive Councilor Tourism;  Ashraf Barcha Executive Councilor Health , Leh, Mohd Ali Chandan, Ladakh Autonomous Council, Kargil visited Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Secretariat in Assam’s Kokrajhar district today on September 7, 2019.The delegations interacted with BTC’s Executive members and Officers of BTC Secretariat at conference room. Discussion on regarding BTC Land Act & protection, job reservation, Tourism and Fund from Govt of India were held. The team also visited Central Institute of Technology (CIT) and interacted with Registrar of CIT.

The main purpose of visit was to take ideas on the functioning of the BTC which is under the sixth scheduled of the Constitution of India and how to run the the UT’s Council after the getting separate Union Territory Ladakh.
