Mumbai: Dena Bank has celebrated the International Women’s Day on 15.03.2012 at its Head Office. The Guest of Honor was Smt. Shyamala Gopinath, the retired Dy. Governor, RBI. Occasion was graced by Smt. Nupur Mitra, the First Chairperson & Mg. Director of Dena Bank and Executive Director, Shri Ashok Dutt who is also the Chairman of Women Cell of the Bank. Women borrowers, Branch Managers and Sports women were felicitated for their achievements.

Ms. Suvarna Bartakke, a Dena Bank Scholarship Player, was felicitated for her outstanding performance in Kabaddi. She is presently the Captain of Maharashtra State Women’s Team (Kabaddi) which played for India in the 1^st Women’s World Cup Kabaddi Championship and won the World cup by beating Iran in finals.
