New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely has said that despite global economic slowdown, India is poised for seven percent growth. Speaking at the two day Make in India Karnataka Conference in Bengaluru today, Mr Jaitley said that the Cetre is giving thrust to infrastructure and social sector. He said, a sum of 3 lakh 96 thousand crore rupees has been allotted for infrastructure development in the budget.

Speaking on the occasion, Information and Broadcasting Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu said that urban renaissance happened in India. He urged that the State governments should work together with the Central Government and address their problems at the earliest. Under smart city scheme, six cities were selected in Karnataka, the Minister said.
