Haflong  : Lt Gen Sukhdeep Sangwan, SM, Director General Assam Rifles, visited HQ Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) located at Srikona, Assam on 5th April 2019 stated a press release issued by PRO, IGAR(East).

IG Assam Rifles (East) briefed the General Officer on the operational & administrative preparedness in the area of responsibility. This was followed by a visit to HQ 22 Sector Assam Rifles at Haflong where he reviewed the security situation. The General Officer expressed his satisfaction on the operational preparedness of the Force in maintaining peace & tranquility in the region.  During his interaction with troops, he complimented the soldiers for their professionalism, commitment & dedication to duty in conduct of people friendly operations in hostile terrain and challenging conditions.
