    Digit an Indian insurance company to make it to CB Insights Fintech 250 list

    The general insurer scored a hat-trick by winning the recognition for the third time

    Bengaluru : Digit Insurance, a general insurance company offering health, car, bike and travel insurance, has been named one of the top 250 fintech companies globally using technology to transform financial services by CB Insights, a US-based market intelligence agency. Digit is the only Indian insurance company featured in the CB Insights Fintech 250 list.

    Digit Insurance, which previously won the award in 2018 and 2020, is also the only insurance company in Asia to be part of the rankings. The list recognises fintech start-ups globally that have managed to successfully drive tech innovations to build a sustainable and profitable business.

     The final list of 250 companies, which was unveiled at CB Insights’ Future of Fintech conference in New York City, was drawn from 17,000 applicants and nominees from over 25 countries and were selected based on their business model, market presence and Mosaic scores using CB Insights’ proprietary algorithm that measures the overall health and growth potential of private companies.

    Among companies part of the CB Insights Fintech 250, only 12 start-ups from India, including seven unicorns, are part of the list this year.

    Digit Insurance recorded a growth of 44 per cent in FY21 with a premium of INR 3,243 crore. It has earned the trust of over two crore+ customers.
