NITI Aayog Principle Advisor Ratan P Watal today said that digital payments have increased in the country post demonetisation.

Addressing a conference on Digital Payments – Trends, Issues and Payments in New Delhi, Mr Watal said, there is a growth momentum for digital payment in both value and volume.

He said, GST regime will have a huge impact on promoting digital payments. Mr Watal said, trends have been showing that a spectacular growth is expected in digital payments. He added that the RBI is taking several measures to promote digital payments.
