The planet’s favorite E-commerce pioneer (her original branding genius for Overstock.com turned it into a billion-dollar retail juggernaut), cannabis activist and hip political contender, Stormy Simon, is back for a second season of her wildly-popular podcast, “Lunch with Stormy: Liberty Edition!”
With a passion for people and social justice, Stormy is all about inspiring and thought-provoking conversations over lunch with guests who have plenty of relevant things to say especially during these tumultuous times in our nation. Living by the mantra, “Sometimes you don’t know what the next step is, but you still have to take it,” she steers listeners on an auditory adventure in Season Two with a special, pre-election, 6-episode line-up featuring a lively roster of guests that includes political powerhouses spanning the cultural spectrum:
◦ Sarah Riggs Amico, former Democratic Nominee for Lt. Governor in Georgia, who ran alongside Stacey Abrams, and is the founder of the newly launched Our American Dreams PAC
◦ Award-winning internationaljournalist Lennox Samuels
◦ Dee Dee Sorvino, Republican strategist, former Fox News Commentator, staff member under President George W. Bush, and wife of Paul Sorvino.
◦ Entrepreneurs and digital fundraising duo Amanda Steinberg and Jen Boulden – founders of Higher U, whose mission is to empower social change leaders with the training and tools needed to galvanize their movement
◦ Emily White of #iVoted, who is proud to announce their November 3, 2020 Election Night digital concert that already has 500 committed artists and celebs.
◦ Communications leader Naomi Seligman, who has worked extensively on Capitol Hill and served as director of communications for Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti.
Season One of “Lunch with Stormy” explored transformation and reinvention with a sizzling line up of diverse celebrity guests.
Her star-studded conversations included author and personality Torrei Hart, comedian-actor and cannabis icon Tommy Chong, entrepreneur and “Brady Bunch” actor Christopher Knight, CBS “Survivor” Ethan Zohn, President of Visionary Women Shelley Reid, Iraq War Veteran and yogi Dan Nevins, and NFL icon and member of the legendary ’85 Chicago Bears Jim McMahon.
“I’ve always been drawn to storytelling,” says Stormy. “Before I landed at Overstock.com, I worked in radio, and it became a passion for me. I love the intimacy of communicating with listeners through this medium — it’s an elevated version of the traditional radio experience.”
As a 2020 Democratic candidate for the District 21 seat in the Utah State House of Representatives, Stormy brings Season Two of “Lunch with Stormy: Liberty Edition!” to the streaming universe on all podcast networks. The show is produced by It’s All Good Entertainment, is distributed weekdays at 12pm PT by UBNGo network, and features music courtesy of ShowRunner Music.
