Haflong  : After a threadbare discussion the meeting of the Dima Hasao DCC(I) opined that Sri Debolal Gorlosa @ Daniel Dimasa, the present Chief Executive Member of North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council, be arrested immediately to safeguard the sanctity of the Justice and to instill confidence in the minds of the general public stated by Shri Kalijoy Sengyung, General Secretary along with Daniel Langthasa , Aripom Bodo and Hamjanan Langthasa in press meet held at the Rajiv Bhawan on Friday.

They stated that the statement of Si Miput Raijung @Action Dimasa @ David Kemprai  s/o Sri Dipomn Raijung aged about 33 years resident of village Miyungpur (14 KM) Ps Umrangso, Dist. Dima Hasao which was recorded in the court of Session Judge, Dima Hasao District, Haflong on 27 july 2018 under the session case No. 18/08 was taken into consideration at a meeting convened at Rajv Bhawan, Haflong on 10 August 2018 (Friday).

The Dima Hasao District Congress Committee urged upon the Governor of Assam, the custodian of the Constitution, to dissolve the present North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council immediately and the administration of the Council is taken over by his benign self.

The Dima Hasao District Congress Committee further desired that the Session case No. 18/08 be shifted to the Gauhati High Court, Guwahati as there are more allegations and pending cases against Sri Debolal Gorlasa.

Considering the safety and security of Sri Action Dimasa @ Miput Raijung they also urged upon the administration to kindly provide special protection to Sri Action Dimasa and his family in the interest of justice.

The press meet was addressed by Shri Kalijoy Sengyung, General Secretary along with Daniel Langthasa , Aripom Bodo and Hamjanan Langthasa and all of them appealed to the people of Dima Hasao to come forward to demand justice for the victim families expressing their solidarity .
