    Guwahati : Disappointed BJP MLA of Duliajan constituency Terash Gowalla resigns in Assam.BJP MLA Teras Gowala from Duliajan constituency in Assam tendered his resignation to the chief minister on Tuesday morning following government’s decision not to appoint him as the chairperson of Assam Gas Company Limited, in his constituency. The government has appointed Bolin Chetia, MLA of Sadiya as the chairman of the gas company, situated in Duliajan, which is Gowala’s constituency. The lawmaker alleged that there has been corruption in appointment of officials for posts in many corporation offices. Gowala, who represents the large tea garden community in Duliajan is feeling humiliated by the state government’s move to appoint lawmaker from other constituency as chairman of gas company in his (Gowala’s) constituency. BJP has not reacted to Gowala’s resignation yet. Gowalla was reportedly upset on being over looked for the portfolio of Chairperson in Assam Gas Company that he will be quitting his post in the party. On Monday, Sadiya MLA Bolin Chetia got charge as Chairperson of Assam Gas Company Ltd. Reportedly, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Monday approved appointment of 49 people, including MLAs, singer and former Chief Secretaries in different posts in the State. And the MLA was Unhappy with the appointment of CM. Terash Gowalla has been elected in Assam Legislative Assembly election in 2016 from Duliajan constituency.
