  • Doctors will not work for three days on several demands including security, promotion

     Guwahati : In Assam, services in outpatient department in Government hospitals have been affected due to three-day boycott by the doctors’ association on various issues including safety and promotion of doctors and other medical personnel.

    The State Health Department has approached the Assam Medical Services Organisation and assured it that their demands will be looked into.Dr. Kanak Chandra Talukdar, Secretary General, AMSA said, “A complete boycott of OPD services was started by our members from today. The State Government has spoken to us over telephone and we will discuss it in the executive body meeting. But so far our decision to boycott opd is going on. He said services in emergency wards and internal patients department have not been affected due to the agitation.
