Mumbai: Dr. R. Seetharaman, CEO of Doha Bank has been conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award 
at The Banker Middle East Industry Awards 2015. He received the award from Rashid Almansoori, CEO of Qatar Exchange at the awards ceremony held recently in Dubai.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. R. Seetharaman highlighted some key initiatives which have resulted in expanding the presence of Doha Bank, establishing relationships with leading corporates and providing value advantage to customers. He also spoke extensively about his initiatives for the economic development of GCC region.
He spoke at length about sustainable development adding, “The Sustainable Development Mission should aim for poverty eradication, environmental sustainability, sustainable consumption and production. Doha Bank advocates and practices green banking as one of its core philosophies and has programmes like ‘ECO-School Programme’ that works with educational institutions to build awareness of key environmental issues.
Doha Bank’s eco-friendly initiatives like Green Credit Card, Green Accounts, Internet Banking, SMS Banking, Phone Banking, E- Remittances and online Bill Payments promote the concept of paperless banking.
