Amritsar: Dr. Ravi Mahajan, Chief Plastic Surgeon, Amandeep Group of Hospitals, Amritsar, has been elected as President – Indian Society for Surgery of the Hand at 42^nd national conference of the society held at Coimbatore. ISSH is a body of Plastic and Orthopaedic surgeons practicing hand surgery all over the country. Objective of the society is to promote the specialty of hand surgery amongst junior doctors by organizing CMEs, workshops and conferences all over the country. Dr. Ravi Mahajan took over as President of the society at Coimbatore in the presence of Dr. Levin Scott, President American Society of Surgery of Hand, Dr. Raja Sabapathy organizing chairman, Dr. Balakrishnan, Trustee ISSH, Dr. Ravi Gupta; the outgoing President and many senior hand surgeons of the country.

Dr. Ravi Mahajan said that he will work hand to promote the specialty amongst Plastic and Orthopaedic surgeons particularly in smaller cities, so that common people get benefitted from their expertise.
