  • DR. Shamsheer vayalil to be honored with the prestigious Pravasi Bharatiya samman award

    New Delhi : Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil Parambath, founder and managing director of LLH Healthcare Group in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) will be conferred with the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman for the year 2014 this Thursday. The award is Dr-Shamsheer-Vayalil-Parambaththe most prestigious and highest honor awarded to NRIs. Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil, who hails from Kerala, has been running his business in the Middle East for the last six years. The Pravasi Bhartiya Samman Award will be the latest in his collection of many other awards for his contribution to the humanitarian cause.

    Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil will receive the award on Thursday – the occasion of the twelfth edition of the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas which will held at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.

    Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) is celebrated on 9th January every year to mark the contribution of Overseas Indian community in the development of India. On this auspicious occasion individuals who have worked in the enhancement of India’s prestige are honored with the estimable Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award to appreciate their role in India’s growth.

    Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil is one of the youngest Indians who is going to  have received the award.  He commenced his humble beginning with the first hospital in Abu Dhabi in 2007 which then escalated to nine operational hospitals; Burjeel Hospital – Abu Dhabi
    (The largest private tertiary Hospital in the region), LLH Hospital Electra-Abu Dhabi, LLH Hospital Mussafah-Abu Dhabi, Life Care Hospital Al Raha-Abu Dhabi, Lakeshore Hospital – India, LLH Hospital Sohar-Oman, LLH Hospital Salalah-Oman, Burjeel Hospital for Advanced Surgery – Dubai, More than 30 Onsite Clinics across Abu Dhabi, LLH Event Medical Service, across the UAE, Oman and India. Also to industrial medicine for over 250,000 workers; from pharmaceutical manufacturing to a pharmacy retail chain; he has founded and heads more than ten organizations. Simultaneously, he has been actively involved in the humanitarian cause and social projects that have benefited various communities across the Middle East, India and North Africa.

    Dr. Shamsheer was born in Kerala and completed his MBBS and MD from Mangalore and Chennai respectively. In a short span of seven years he has embarked upon the new heights of glory and success and has established a truly integrated, end to end, healthcare organization, delivering quality healthcare that caters to the needs of the community in the Middle East region.

    His group, LLH Healthcare, is engaged in providing healthcare delivery, pharmaceutical and health support services. The group currently operates in the UAE, Oman and India.  The healthcare delivery companies include hospitals offering primary, secondary and tertiary health services as well as industrial and emergency care services. He is efficiently running nine hospitals which include Burjeel Hospital – Abu Dhabi (The largest private tertiary Hospital in the region), LLH Hospital Electra-Abu Dhabi, LLH Hospital Mussafah-Abu Dhabi, Life Care Hospital Al Raha-Abu Dhabi, Lakeshore Hospital – India, LLH Hospital Sohar-Oman, LLH Hospital Salalah-Oman, Burjeel Hospital for Advanced Surgery – Dubai, More than 30 Onsite Clinics across Abu Dhabi, LLH Event Medical Service, across the UAE, Oman and India.

    He is also planning to embark upon a new journey by opening a chain of hospitals in India which could serve the nation’s community with good healthcare & wellness services.

    He has also been credited for launching the first seven-star Hospital in the Gulf region – Burjeel Hospital, Abu Dhabi. Burjeel Hospital works on a new concept of health and wellness care. Burjeel Hospital lays special emphasis on reviving the lost art of healing along with the best and the most advanced facilities and techniques in treatment, equipment and diagnosis, and with a team of renowned specialists and medical personnel at the helm.

    He is one of the most influential & successful figures in the Middle East region and his contributions are significant & have been recognized by the UAE government, Indian government, industry and trade associations as well as media. He has also been awarded the “Hamdan Bin Zayed Award for Humanitarian Aid 2013”; adjudged the Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year” in 2011 for UAE; Shiekh Khalifa Excellence Award in 2009; “Arab Health International Leadership Award” in 2012. He was also included in the “100 Most Powerful Indians in the Gulf” by Arabian Business Magazine in 2012; he is ranked among the 100 most powerful Indians in the forbes magazine.
