New Delhi : The first module of IILM’s Advanced Management Program was delivered by Dr. Shashi Tharoor on Global and Political Environment from 13th to 15th February, 2011 at IILM Lodhi Road. The module focused on developing analytical tools for understanding the rapidly changing and dynamic global political economy. The participants, mostly senior managers and entrepreneurs, developed an insight to anticipate the risks and take advantage of the opportunities they will encounter in the global business environment. Dr. Tharoor emphasized on the historical perspectives, the role and growth of UN, American Dominance and Decline, India and the World, Assessing Chinese Power, Regions of the World and Politics and Terrorism where in he discussed the emergence of Africa, West Asia, South East Asia in post-colonial world.

The Advanced Management Program at IILM is designed with cutting edge content, and taught by world class faculty. The knowledge sharing approach of faculty in this Program is interactive, dynamic and provides a great opportunity to reflect, and strengthen skills.

The IILM Advanced Management Program comprises of 20 modules (of three days duration each) to be completed over a period of one year. The next three modules are being delivered by Professor Scott Armstrong from Wharton Business School and Dr. Catherine Thomas from Columbia Business School amongst others.
