Dun & Bradstreet along with Maruti Suzuki India launches “Youth Event of the Year”

Mumbai :In its endeavor to innovate, learn and lead, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, thecountry’s leading car manufacturer launches the most exciting youth eventof the year – ‘Maruti Suzuki Colors of Youth 2011’.This first of its kind initiative will spot and celebrate young Indians whohave a flair for both talent and intelligence. This unique search for youthall-rounders will cover over 300 professional colleges and B- schools in India.

Dun& Bradstreet, the world’s leading provider of global businessinformation, marketing and sales solutions, has been commissioned to conductthe Colors of Youth 2011 event, which will include promotions, on groundexecution, and data management for the entire event.

Thecourse of the competition, spread across 10 cities over two and half months,will consist of the first round of general auditions, followed by 10 City Finalrounds and then by 4 Zonal Final rounds. The grand finale will be held in NewDelhi. The entire event will be aired on Zee Business.

MarutiSuzuki Colors of Youth will offer students – the future leaders of India– a platform to showcase their creativity, talent and knowledge to thecountry at large. Participants will be judged on skills such as singing,dancing, music, standup comedy, innovation, quizzing, etc. The challenge willhave two broad categories: a rapid-fire quiz on Indian Business, and thecurrent National and International scenario, and a talent showcase in anycategory – Music (Vocal or Instrumental), Dance or other arts (Stand-up comedy,Innovation, Car Graphics, Painting, etc).

Speakingabout the concept of the event, Mr. Shashank Srivastava, Chief GeneralManager-Marketing, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said that Colors of Youth“is an initiative to put the spotlight today on the young Indians whowill make their mark on the world tomorrow.” Unlike a slew of talentshows currently running, he said, “Colors of Youth will carve a niche foritself as it focuses on the multi-faceted nature of the talent of the youthtoday, and helps it get noticed by giving it the right platform.”

A Hunt for India’s most Talented and Versatile Youth amongst B-Schools andProfessional colleges where we are looking to explore the various facets oftalent and intellect possessed by the future leaders. The challenge will havetwo elements: a quick fire QUIZ on Indian Business and Current National &International scenario and TALENT HUNT in any category –

(I)Music (Vocal or Instrumental),

(ii) Dance,

(iii) Other (Stand-up comedy, Innovation, Car Graphics, Painting, etc.).

Undoubtedly, Maruti Suzuki Colors of Youth 2011 is poised to be a megashow that will offer students a platform to showcase their Colors – Talent& Knowledge to the country at large and winners would get exciting prizesalong with recognition.

Covering 150 colleges in 10 cities across the country, this event will be airedon television and judged by some of the most respected names of the industry.There will be city auditions, followed by city and zonal finales.
