ECE Engineering School, part of France’s OMNES Education group, has signed a new partnership with Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences (KITS), a recognised private university in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The collaboration will expand opportunities for Indian students to study in France and earn an ECE degree, while also fostering semester exchanges between the two institutions.
On September 4, 2025, ECE welcomed a delegation from Karunya, led by Prof. Dr. Elijah Blessing Rajsingh, Pro Vice-Chancellor, together with Dr. J. Dinesh Peter, Head of International Relations, and Dr. Merlin Gilbert Raj S, International Relations Coordinator, to sign the agreement.
The partnership will operate on two levels. First, it establishes student exchange programmes at both the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels. Each year, up to ten ECE students will have the opportunity to study one semester at Karunya, while two Karunya students will be hosted in France, specifically in digital engineering.
Second, it creates a Pathway programme. This will allow Karunya students to complete their Bachelor’s degree in India before progressing directly to the second year of a Master’s degree at ECE, while benefitting from reduced tuition fees. The Pathway option will be available in high-demand fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Data, Cybersecurity, and Sustainable Energy.

Dr. Dinesh Peter, Head of International Relations at Karunya, added: “We are delighted to partner with ECE, one of France’s most forward-looking engineering schools. This collaboration will give our students valuable international exposure and access to expertise in areas that are shaping the future of technology.”
