Guwahati : Minister of Education (Higher, Secondary, Elementary) Siddhartha Bhattacharya called on Assam Governor Prof.Jagdish Mukhi at Raj Bhavan and apprised him of the programmes that his ministry is going to take in the coming day. The minister also informed the Governor of the steps that have been taken to implement the central schemes for the promotion of education in the state. The Governor congratulated the Minister on timely announcement of HSLC and HSSLC results which would really help the students in the next phase of the studies. The meeting which lasted for an hour discussed on the quality improvement of higher education. On the other hand Assam Governor Prof.Jagdish Mukhi congratulated the toppers and other successful candidates of High School Leaving Certificate Examination and Assam High Madrassa Examination-2018 on their good show. In a congratulatory message Prof.Mukhi hailed the extraordinary performances of the toppers and wished them all the very best for a bright future ahead. He said that that their hard work, perseverance and dedication have yielded fruits to them. He also lauded the performances of other successful students and said that they made their teachers and parents proud of their performances. Prof.Mukhi also consoled the unsuccessful candidates and asked them to put in more hard works and work with renewed zeal to become successful next year. He also took note of the role of the teachers and parents and greeted them to enable the students to come out with flying colours in these examinations.
