In Egypt, former president Mohammed Morsi died yesterday after collapsing during a session in court. State television reported that he was taken to a Cairo hospital but could not be revived.
Morsi had been in custody since his removal by military after mass protests in 2013.
He was democratically elected in 2012, one year after the popular uprising that ended the rule of longtime leader Hosni Mubarak.
Meanwhile the Muslim Brotherhood blamed that the death was a full-fledged murder and called for crowds to gather at the funeral. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also blamed Egyptian rulers for the death of former president.
