    Guwahati : Newly-appointed Deputy Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly Kripanath Mallah on Sunday morning visited his own constituency Ratabari. During his visit, an unfortunate incident took place at Ratabari in Karimganj as the deputy speaker fell off from an elephant during a welcome procession organized by his supporters. Hence, a swarm of people came to receive Mallah and extended their heartwarming welcome to the legislator for his new achievement. Mallah’s supporters have arranged a massive procession comprising approximately thousands of people. Mallah, representing Ratabari constituency in Karimganj district of Barak Valley in the Assembly, was declared elected uncontested by Speaker Hitendra Nath Goswami under Article 178 of the Constitution of India on September 26.
