  • New Delhi: Renowned journalist Dr. Ved Pratap Vaidik passed away this morning. According to his close aide Mohan Kumar, Dr Vaidik died due to cardiac arrest. “At about 9 this morning he went to bathroom. When he did not return after a while and there was no response from him, we broke open the bathroom and found him lying down on the floor. We took him to hospital where he was declared dead,” Kumar told this correspondent on phone.

    Dr Vaidik is a widely travelled versatile journalist with over 50 years of experience. Dr Vaidik is known for his close association with many national heads across the Globe. Vaidik has been writing columns for over 200 vernacular, national newspapers, news portals and was a regular presence in TV debates relating to national and international issues. Of late he was engaged in forming an association 18 neighboring countries of India with the intention cementing political and economic cooperation between these nations.

    Dr. Vaidik was 79 years and mortal remains will be kept at his residence Gurgaon (242, Sector 55, Gurgaon) tomorrow, March 15 from 9 am to 1 pm. The last rites will take place at Lodhi Crematorium, New Delhi at 4 pm
