Employees of Haflong PHE withdraw total work

Haflong : Hundreds of employees of Haflong PHE have withdrawn total work for 24 hours today as they are not getting their salaries for last 7 months.

They held executive engineer, Haflong PHE Division, Pinaki Sankar Kar responsible for non-receipt of their salaries as he ignored the plight of his staff for the reasons best known to him. They also alleged that Kar being the executive engineer, in charge always fails to understand the sufferings of the staffs.

They were shouting slogans as ‘no pay – no work’, P S Kar – Go back etc etc. in front the office the Executive Engineer, PHE Haflong Division.

They are demanding immediate payment of their salaries otherwise they along with their families would be bound to reach the residence of Executive Engineer, Kar for food and lodging.
