A Eurekabreakthrough solution to India’s crippling problem of air pollution, the company aims to change the dynamics of air purification in the country, with its diverse offerings. With this launch, the company has also rebranded its air purifier division from ‘Euroair’ to ‘Aeroguard’, to further enhance the category to meet changing needs and evolving lifestyle of modern-day customer base, while fighting new-age air–borne contaminants.

Aeroguard PicturePriced between INR 1400 to INR 30,000, Aeroguard’s new range of air purifiers, which include, Aeroguard ACTON, Aeroguard ACTON Advance, Aeroguard Car Air Purifier and Aeroguard Clean Air GLO, will be available across markets.

Crafted carefully, the products are a unique blend of powerful performance and superior technology. Enhanced with strategically designed layers of protection, its new-age technology not only ensures a healthy and allergen-free environment, but also helps one feel de-stressed and relaxed. Extremely convenient to use, Aeroguard’s air purifiers have been designed to simplify tasks, and enhance efficiency levels, while saving time.

The Global Burden of Disease report 2014 says air pollution is the fifth largest killer in India. However, general public largely remains unaware of the potential dangers of indoor air pollution. Taking cognizance of this, Eureka Forbes is enhancing its existing portfolio to reach out to consumers, and create awareness about one of the most overlooked threats to human health. Being pioneers across categories such as water purifiers, vacuum cleaners and air purifiers, Eureka Forbes is focusing on newer segments and is poised to expand its business into the nascent air purifier category.

Announcing the launch, Mr. Marzin R. Shroff, CEO- Direct Sales and Senior VP, Marketing, Eureka Forbes Limited said, “Most of us are ignorant of the troubling aspects of this grave health threat from indoor air pollution, which can emanate from a lot of sources that have become so ingrained in our lives that we no longer question them. Awareness levels on indoor air pollution remain exceedingly low, threatening public health. Moreover, given the increasing air pollution in India, air purifiers are the need of the hour. We have been aggressively investing in building our air purifiers portfolio with strategic partnerships, investments and R&D. In fact, for the first time in India, we have introduced a bulb that purifies indoor air efficiently, and a car purifier, considering we spend a substantial time commuting as well. With the rebranding and product launches, we want to encourage people to take action in minimizing their risk and mitigate indoor air quality problems effectively.”

In an endeavour to create awareness on the deteriorating indoor air quality, last year, Eureka Forbes had conducted a nationwide survey to gauge consumer perceptions about indoor air pollution. Under its research and development efforts, Eureka Forbes has also installed dedicated air quality monitoring devices in major metros across India which tracks outdoor air pollution.
