“Even the best actor can fail” says Amitabh Bachchan at the Hindustan Leadership Summit

New Delhi: The 14th edition of Hindustan Times Leadership Summit concluded with a candid and interesting conversation between Amitabh Bachchan and Karan Johar. Addressing questions of his phenomenal work he said, “Credit goes to the creative people who amitabh-bachchan-and-karanmake my movies. There is very little I do. If a movie isn’t designed or written properly, even the best actor in the world will fail he added.”

Sharing his experience he said, “I may debate with my writer or my director. But in front of the camera, their approval is very important to me.”

He also said that insecurity in our profession has to do with a continued assessment of what you do, where you want to go, whether you will get the next job or not. Expressing his admiration for the current generation he said, “I am so in awe of this generation. They know who they are, where they want to go. I still don’t know where they want to go,”

Commenting on his endorsement on the social media he said, “I keep active on social media because I feel that if someone has written to me, I must respond to them. There are so many amazing people on social media and they make me think a lot.”

Talking about his last venture ‘Pink’ he said, “Every dialogue I spoke in the film, I would speak even if I wasn’t working in the film.” Taking the excitement a couple of notches ahead and commenting on his outstanding work in Pink he said, “When a woman says no: be it your girlfriend, your wife, or a sex worker, understand that no means NO”.
