  • Evolving Tata Nano: After Electric Version Now It Goes Green

    Published on August 13, 2010

Tata Motors is continuously taking big strides and making history for itself. First the Landrover-Jaguar deal, then it produced world’s cheapest car and now it is set to introduce a car that runs on air – compressed air. Seeing spiralling fuel prices this car will provide some relief to customers.

The concept of green car in India is becoming much of fashion. And why not, when the fuel prices are not showing any signs to get down! Earlier Tata Motors came up with an environment friendly car in the Electric Vehicle segment which was displayed in the Geneva Auto Show. That was electric variant of Tata Nano and was called Tata Nano EV.

Tata Nano EV is expected to be exported from India to the European markets in next thirty months. Tata Nano EV is expected to help in expanding company’s electric vehicle portfolio in a broad way. Ravi Kant, Vice President of Tata Motors said, “Electrification will be an integral part of Tata Motor’s initiative to launch environment-friendly vehicles. We will progressively introduce electric vehicles in all relevant markets.”

After Tata Nano EV, Tata Motors is planning to introduce a brand new variant of Tata Nano which would be first air powered car in the world. With the launch of this air powered car Tata Motors is promising zero emissions by next summer.

Tata Motors is becoming environment friendly and is also becoming pocket friendly to the customers. So, those who are planning to have a car can afford to wait a little long as this car would be proved a best buy.

Keep your eyes fixed on the next announcement from India’s largest auto manufacturer Tata Motors as it is all set to start producing world’s first commercial air-powered vehicle.
