Our correspondent reports that Dayashankar Singh has been booked under various sections of IPC and the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act at Hazratganj police station on July 20 on the basis of a complaint filed by a BSP functionary. The FIR has since been transferred to Mau Kotwali police station as Singh had made the remark there. He had moved the Allahabad High Court seeking that the FIR be quashed while High court has fixed August 8 as next date of hearing. On the other hand Swati Singh, the wife of Dayashankar Singh, is demanding action against BSP leaders for passing insulting remarks for her minor daughter and herself during the protest rally of BSP.
