A private News Channel reported yesterday that the application for emergency use of the vaccine by Serum Institute and Bharat Biotech has been rejected by the DCGI.

Health Ministry has termed the claim to be fake. Serum Institute which is manufacturing the Oxford Vaccine in the country applied for emergency use approval of the vaccine on this Sunday while Bharat Biotech manufacturing the indigenous COVID Vaccine, COVAXIN, had applied on Monday.
