Mangaldai : In connection with the ongoing celebration of National Road Safety Month-2021 , Darrang district transport office has offered public felicitation to Dr Ramesh Chandra Goswami, Sub Divisional Medical and Health Officer , Hari Chandra Sharma, retired administrative officer, Deputy Commissioner Officer cum Secretary, district unit of Indian Red Cross Society and Esther Soren , traffic police officer of Kharupetia Police Station as a mark of recognition for their sincere service towards the society.
On the occasion a public function was held here at the Bhebarghat public station on Saturday where District Transport Officer ,Kumar Sanjib Krishna, Enforcement Inspector Biswajit Hazarika and Motor Vehicle Inspector Diganta Kr Deka greeted the guests each with a traditional gamosa , a memento made of brass metal and a new year diary .
Earlier synchronizing the road safety month a free health and eye screening camp was also organized earlier on Friday where Dr Ramesh Chandra Goswami and Dr Mahadev Saharia supported by para medical staff screened a total of one hundred and seventy seven driver and handymen of commercial passenger vehicles and out them free lens were provided to seventy seven beneficiaries under the National Blind Control Programme, Darrang.
