  • Ferrying of voters to polling station will not be allowed: election observer

    Jorhat : Briefing to the press at the Circuit house conference hall Dr. Ranjit Sinha, the general observer for 12 Jorhat Lok Sabha Constituency said that ferrying of voters by individual vehicles or like bus, tempo or mini bus from villages or localities by any political parties will not be allowed, if information received that particular political party will face penalty according to Chief Election guideline, it will be strictly stopped.

    The Observer Dr. Sinha (IAS) who is a three time experience as an observer for Lok Sabha election for two other states earlier, who hails from Bihar said the poll here in Assam or for Jorhat constituency will be free and fair as people all are peace living and simple, it is not like polling experiences in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh where group clashes among various parties witnesses.

    The observer Sinha further said we need to meet challenges to attract or pull out voters in large to cast their vote so that it comes out with free and fair polling, when casting comes out in large and through which a bright government could be formed for the future development of the country and further seek people’s and media personnel co operational help through whom we take an add to be a pivotal player to guide to cooperate during the days of the festival of democracy.

    To bring out voters in big numbers and to make them cast vote free and fairly without falling into the hands of the trouble mongerers is our major challenge for this ensuing election, said Roshni Aparnaji Korati, the Returning Officer of 12 Jorhat HPC who also present during the press interaction along with Tapan Gohain Additional Deputy Commission (ADC) election, the District Election Officer Shekhar Dutta, Sarodi Gogoi-DIPRO, Jorhat who also present.
