  • FIITJEE unveils USA UNIQUEST to groom 10+2 students for undergraduate studies in US Universities

    Published on February 18, 2011

Hyderabad: FIIT-JEE – a test-preparing institute for entrance to the country’s most coveted engineering colleges, the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the largest coaching organisation in India unveils USA UNIQUEST, an initiative of significance in Indian Education for students of IX, X and XI. Announcing this addressing media in Hyderabad, Mr. D. K. Goel, Legendary Educationist, Founder Chairman and Chief Mentor of FIITJEE informed that USA UNIQUEST is a program that will comprehensively prepares students for admission into US Universities at undergraduate level.

Do you know that it is much easier to get admission into B.E/B.Tech/Undergraduate stream/courses of your choice in the World’s Best Universities such as MIT, Princeton, Caltech, Yale, Stanford, Harvard which are ranked much higher than IITs. It is still easier to get admission in these prestigious Universities than to qulify IIT-JEE. IIT JEE happens to be a much tougher exam than SAT-II and our EAMCET questioned Mr. D.K. Goel. The Number of students appearing in IITJEE and AIEEE going up at a fast pace. It was 4.7 and now 11 lacs he informed.

Stating further Goel added that World Ranking of IIT Bombay is 187, IIT Delhi is 202, IIT Kanpur is 249, IIT Madras is 262 and IIT Kharagpur is 311. And our students end up putting more efforts for admission into less ranked Universities. With same or even less effort now they can seek admission into the most sought after and dream universities in the world. You would be surprised to know that one can get a high score in SAT-II even if that student does not have potential to get a decent Rank in AIEEE, informed Goel.

To add insult to injury, the IIT brand is already diluted with so many IITs around. After the foreign universities come to India quality of higher education will improve and IITs will definitely go down. Best students will choose MIT, Princeton or Stanford and not IITs. opined Mr. Goel.

FIITJEE the leader in Rs 10,000 crore Engineering Entrance training Market in India has a unique distinction of training around 200,000 engineering aspirants till date. More than 20,000 FIITJEE students selected for IIT since the year 2000. Coupled with this experience and expertise it is hit up with yet another unique initiative, USA UNIQUEST. It is this vast experience and faith in our landmark success in coaching the toughtest competitive exam inspired us to provide a platform for students aspiring for admission to US Universities in the form of USA UNIQUEST informed Mr. Goel. This is a comprehensive program that takes care of all aspects of preparation—in the same old, trusted FIITJEE way. It will cater to all aspects/requirements of admission to US Universities i.e SAT-1, SAT-II( Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Math Level-1, Math Level-2), TOEFL and Advance Placements(Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Chemistry, Physics B, Physics C, Biology), he said.

For students who aspire to study in US Universities right from an undergraduate level, this program is a real boon. It provides all the necessary inputs to the aspiring students, right along with his/her normal school curriculum informed Mr. D.K. Goel. Adding further he stated that this ensures a totally stress free, comprehensive preparation for admission to US Universities that too without having to compromise on sports and extracurricular activities. FIIJEE’s total success approach helps its students to experience success with confidence in all major entrance exams.

To help students in their quest for admission into US Universities, FIITJEE designed various programs to suite students of different levels and needs. These include 4year Integrated School Program; 4 year Classroom Program; 3 year Classroom program and 2 years Integrated School Program and 2 year Classroom Program for Admission into US Universities.

If a student can’t get an Institute or Branch of his or her choice and their parents can afford to invest about Rs 12-18 lakh per year for 4 years of education of their wards, then they should go to USA to do their graduation in Engineering, Sciences, Medicine, Commerce or Arts. All disciplines offer excellent career prospects he added. Opportunities for high quality undergraduate studies in Pure Sciences are limited in our country, he said.

What is the need for US UNIQUEST?

Offlate there has been a huge addition in Secondary school Students. 21% of Indian population is in age group of 10-19 years. At present around 3 crore children enrolled in classes XI and XII. The competition for exams like IIT-JEE will be even tougher in future. The effort is not worth given the standard when compared to other best Universities in the world. Hence, this is an ideal alternative those who can’t afford crack IIT-JEE. But the real hurdle is affordability. How many Indian students can afford such studies. Frankly many, given the value addition to the child’s career many more are opting such route. In case of those who can’t afford the meritorious but financially not so sound will have an option of the scholarship.

Now the current trend is undergraduate studies in USA. Lot of parents offlate have been exploring this option. Soon we expect more students to take this route Mr. Goel said.

Why Study Abroad for UG after CBSE 2011 Exam?

Nearly one lakh students travel abroad each year. Considerable number of students now are traveling for undergraduate courses. Undergraduate Education abroad is becoming increasingly popular among Indian students. Businesses have increasingly become global and this has in turn made education abroad a more valuable experience. While there are a number of world famous schools in India, they admit a limited number of students. Also, reservations are a reason why many Indian students can’t get admissions despite good grades. Superior Facilities and Infrastructure, Educational facilities, Flexible Course Structure, Placements, Further Studies, Campus Life/Diversity are some of the reasons why Indian students are eying US Universities for Undergraduate programs. You want college to add to your overall development and not just academic development is the another reason why parents are also inclined to the idea of undergraduate studies abroad.

FIITJEE is the right organisation to guide students through their admission into dream university in USA. Speaking about FIITJEE track record, Mr. Goel informed that almost 57 per cent of total students at all the seven IITs together are either FIITJEE trained or ones who had been associated with it through various tests and modules. Around 22 per cent of them are exclusively FIITJEE trained. It’s target is to take this share to at least 40 per cent in the coming years, he said

We expect well over 1000 students to opt for these program in the first year of its announcement in the year 2011. Subsequently in coming years we expect number to go up, he said.

The admission for the US UNIQUEST will be closed on 30th April and Sessions begin from 5th May 2011. These programmes are available at Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Lucknow and Ranchi centres.

To create awareness among parents and their children we are also organising an interactive seminar “The Road to Success” for students of IX, X and XI and their parents on educational/career opportunities after 10+2 in US Universities on 19th at 6pm here in city at APSRTC Kalayanamandapam, Azamabad, Hyderabad, informed Goel. The Seminar will be addressed by the man Mr. D.K. Goel who looked at teaching from a different perspective making FIITJEE one of the best coaching institutions to crack IITJEE. All concerned students and their parents can register by calling on 040-64569509, 64601124, 66777000.
