Sikander Behl is recognized as a youth leader, social worker and political activist who is the General Secretary at Delhi Pradesh Youth Congress and District Incharge – New Delhi.

As a young political activist, Sikander Behl aspires to authentically engage and interact with various sections of society and further their demands and voices to the relevant authorities. Sikander is also known to be actively engaged in undertaking social work and related projects that help people and bring visible results in their lives. For example, during the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown, Sikander Behl partnered with local help groups and provided affected people and households with foodgrains, water, safety kits and medicines. He has also assisted the education of numerous children living in rural and slum areas by getting them enrolled in Government and local schools.

Sikander Behl firmly believes that entering politics at a young age has given him the advantage of fully relating with the issues that the youth of the country faces on a daily basis. He says, “Young people want authorities to really understand their problems and give solutions that are actually implemented. They can also feel unheard and neglected if there is absence of concrete action. As a young social and political activist, I give a sense of belonging to them and ensure that their issues reach Government bodies in the right tone and manner. I know how endless loops are created and how tiring they can get. Therefore, I do all I can to amplify their voices and provide a solution.”

Sikander Behl also uses social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter etc. to connect to the public and put out opinionated posts on the current situations and affairs of the country.

Sikander Behl has successfully established himself as a youth leader that brings visible change and positive results to the society.
