HANOVER and FAIRHAVEN: First Citizens’ Federal Credit Union (www.firstcitizens.org) announced today the reopening of their Hanover branch, located at 1095 Washington Street in Hanover.

The Hanover location reopened on May 26 after careful monitoring and in accordance with the governor’s phased approach to reopening.  Special precautions now in place throughout the Hanover branch include protective shields at the teller line and team member desks, social distancing floor markers to help guide members where to stand when waiting, and enhanced cleaning and sanitizing protocols, including continual disinfection and sanitization of high-traffic areas throughout the day (such as teller-line counters, doors, and ATMs/ITMs).  Additionally, face masks are required for anyone who enters the branch, and the branch will continue its “no handshake” policy.

“We look forward to serving our members in our lobbies once again, and are so happy to start doing so in Hanover, where we have implemented protective measures to ensure that doing business in the lobby is as safe as possible,” said Peter Muise, president and CEO of First Citizens’ Federal Credit Union.  “As an essential business, over the last few months our team has remained committed to providing outstanding member service through our telephone banking, online loan applications, digital banking services, ATMs and ITMs, and drive-up windows where available.  Our caring staff in Hanover is eager and excited to assist our members in person again now as well, helping them to find the best financial products to meet their needs.

“Moving forward, we will continue to closely monitor and stay informed around the COVID-19 situation, and remain vigilant in ensuring a safe banking experience for all of us,” Muise added.  “Our top priority is the health and safety of our team, our members, and our communities.  We look forward to serving our members in all our lobbies again soon, and we appreciate our members’ patience and flexibility during this time.”
