  • Fish, meat and poultry product to be available house to house twice a week in Dima Hasao

    Haflong :  As a part of the COVID-19 precautionary measures, the Dima Hasao District Administration has allowed door-to-door sale of fish, meat and poultry products in Dima Hasao, twice a week after a discussion with the concerned departments at DC office.

    The Animal Husbandry & Veterinary department is to prepare a system for sales and purchase of fodder & feed in the District and maintain a record of vehicle given pass for both government vehicles & private, for the purchase of fodder & feed from another district. However there will be limitations that only one vehicle is allowed per day with mandatory vehicle details to be mentioned in the pas or permission along with the name of the helper and driver. The retail outlet or shops for sale of fodder & feed is to open only twice in a week.

    The District Fishery Development office is to prepare a system for sales and purchase of fish in the District and maintain a detailed record of vehicle given pass for both government and  private for purchase of fish from another district and share the records with the District Administration. While the rest of the conditions remain same with that of meat sellers

    Whereas for sale of meat or fish in the district, selected vendors will be issued passes/ permits for house to house sales, area wise and only twice in a week while strictly maintaining social distancing during sales. It is to be mentioned that proper hygiene is to be maintained at all time while selling.

    Sale of meat or fish at shops have not been permitted yet, however price hike of 20% above the Govt. approve rate is permissible.

    Stressing on strictly maintaining of social distancing during sales, the district administration has also ordered  that in case of any violation of the given guidelines, one shall attract penalties as per provisions of the Disaster Management Act 2005 and cancellation of permission.
