  • Fly to Australia at just Rs 58,000 onwards

    Tourism Australia, along with four Australian State and Territory Tourism Organizations (STOs), have teamed up with Singapore Airlines on a special promotional campaign giving flyers a chance to travel to Australia, at all-inclusive, return economy class fares starting from Rs 58,000 onwards. This tactical campaign featuring State and Territory Tourism Organizations (STO) partners including Destination New South Wales, Tourism and Events Queensland, Tourism Victoria and South Australian Tourism Commission will be advertised across print, television, online and radio mediums.

    Singapore Airlines is a leading carrier for travel to Australia from its network across India providing 120 weekly flights on the India – Australia route. It enjoys the distinction of being the most preferred carrier of Indians travelling to Australia with a market share of 31%. Bookings availing this special offer can be made from eleven cities in India, namely Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram and Visakhapatnam to the six major Australian cities of Adelaide, Brisbane, Darwin, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.

    Tourism Australia has recently launched the latest phase of its global promotional campaign, There’s nothing like Australia that highlights some of Australia’s best tourism attractions, experiences and products through consumer focused media activities.

    India is currently Australia’s 10th largest inbound tourism market. There were 16,300 visitors from India during November 2013, bringing the total for the eleven months to November to 151,100, an increase of 10.5 per cent relative to the same period previous year. India is also the 11th largest source market in terms of expenditure. For 12 months ending September 2013, Indian visitors contributed A$794million to Australia’s total expenditure, with average expenditure for Indian visitors being A$4,987.

    The all-inclusive, return Economy class fare starting from Rs 58,000 onwards, offered by Singapore Airlines, is valid for a minimum of two persons travelling together, and is on sale from 15th January ’14 to 28th February ‘14 for outbound travel from 01st February’14 to 30th September’14 in all cities except Bengaluru, where is valid from 01st March ’14 to 30th September ’14.
