About the launch

SDI (Skill Development Institute) Bhubaneswar in partnership with iAspire Mind Foundation today has launched the first of its kind “For Industry By Industry” residential Cyber security skilling program to help bridge emerging Technology talent shortages in the Industry. Inaugural session was attended by leadership of SDI Bhubaneshwar, iAspire Mind Foundation and Industry Partners.

Shortlisting of students from diversified backgrounds

The first batch of 60 students come from diverse backgrounds and were shortlisted from over 800 students from all over India. The program promoted diversity, with 33 % of shortlisted students in the batch being girls who will make next generation of Women in the cyber workforce.

Program will follow exceptionally curated course by industry practitioners that will provide complete tech stack exposure to defend against the next cyber-attacks and make the students Industry ready from the day one of their placement. Over 50 Industry CXOs have committed to build India’s next-gen Cybersecurity workforce and they will be part of mentor interactions & engagements that are planned to be held every alternate week at SDI Bhubaneswar campus.

Also, to ensure that students get an early industry exposure, weekly live webinars will be conducted by many global Security Solution providers. OEMs have decided to provide visibility into their new technologies and solutions. In addition to this, Weekly live webinars by Subject Matter Experts will also be held to help students learn about industry trends and approaches. Every student will get access to the Online Learning Platform for 3 three years to ensure continuous learning, even after passing out of the program.
