Oberoi Mall, one of Mumbai’s leading retail centre’s, had a colorful Sunday for all its patrons. On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, the mall organized a thoughtful kite-making workshop for all the kids.

The USP of the event was that the kids were encouraged to use old newspapers for making these kites. Every kid won two kites for every kite made by them using the newspapers. This not only saved paper but also educated the kids about the importance of re-using paper whenever possible.

What’s a Makar  Sankranti event without any kite-flying? Later in the evening, kids enjoyed flying their earned kites at the Oberoi International School Grounds. The best part about the event was that not only Indians but a few foreigners too joined in the celebrations!
