    Haflong : Former Dima Halam Daogah (DHD) now reformed Halali Progressive Welfare Society under the president-ship of Dilip Ninisa reiterated the demand for Dima Raji, a state within India along with other demands like total implementation of Memorandum of Settlement (MoS) in a general meeting of former Dima Army and Civil cadres held at Tularamraji on Wednesday.

    After threadbare discussion, the previous body of the Halali Progressive Welfare Society was reshuffled and former Chairman of DHD, Dilip Nunisa was selected as the President of the society with majority support.

    The meeting has unanimously resolved and decided to launch the long standing  decades long demand for the creation of separate Dimaraji state within Indian union and to Implement of Memorandum of Settlement 3.Formation of Barman Hojai development council  under clause no. 2.8 of memorandum 4 to cancel the Bamboo park project from 9.3 from MoS special economic package which was nothing but only wastage of funds   and demand for the construction of Cultural complex   at Maibang  like  Silpa gram and Kalaxetra of Guwahati Assam  from the same  package .

     

    The meeting urged upon the govt of India and Assam to immediately arrange  for the implementation of memorandum of settlement  for the greater interest of peace and development.

     

    The  new body of the society  with ten new central committee   members with four advisors as President  Shri Dilip Nunisa Vice president  Shri Subir Bhattacharjee General Secretary  Shri Dangringdao Dimasa Asstt Gnl Secretary  Shri Raolish Kemprai and Media cell in charge Shri Bishnu Neopane.  Treasurer Shri Thaisodao Thaosen.

     

    Nunisa talking to the media expressing concern over the non-implementation of MoS even after several years of signing the MoS said we will be meeting the Union Home Minister very soon in regards to proper implementation of MoS and our democratic movement for the Dima Raji and others demands will continue.
