  • Former NBA Player Sets A Course To Motivate Others To Achieve Their Dreams

    Published on January 29, 2019

PHOENIX, AZ : Professional athlete Carrick Felix has left the NBA to pursue his passion of inspiring and motivating others. He’s starting with At-risk youth in his hometown of Phoenix as well as college students in programs across the United States.

As an At-risk student who was bullied by his peers and demeaned by his teachers, Felix prevailed through it all to become an All-PAC-12 basketball star at Arizona State University where he earned a Masters degree in Communications.  He was drafted into the NBA by the Cleveland Cavaliers only to have his career stifled by a debilitating knee injury.

Working hard and persevering through an arduous rehabilitation, in 2017 he made the final cut to become part of the Washington Wizards.

His goal is to take all of his personal experiences to inspire audiences to accomplish their dreams.

“I have always believed in myself.  When those around me said I couldn’t do it, I had to prove to myself that I could,” said Felix.

Felix currently speaks on the following topics:

    -Leadership
-Life After Sports: When the Ball Stops Bouncing
-The Dark Side: Accepting Your Vices and Learning How to Beat Adversity
    -Finding Your Why
Felix has proven that he can win against all odds and motivates his audiences to do the same.
