  • Four Bangladeshi nationals arrested on Indo-Bangladesh international border, 6000 Yaba tablets worth Rs 30 lakh seized

    Guwahati: Four Bangladeshi nationals have been apprehended along the Indo-Bangladesh international border on October 2 while crossing the Indo-Bangladesh international border. During various operations against crimes across guwahati border, BSF jawans of Guwahati Frontier seized 6000 yaba Tablets, 224 tablets of phenedil and 5 kg ganja. On specific intelligence inputs, on October 2, 2021, troops of Khurshat, a border post of 38 BN BSF under the aegis of Guwahati Frontier, seized 6000 Yaba bullets worth Rs 30 lakh while attempts were being made to smuggle consignments from India to Bangladesh.

    In two more operations on 3,2021, alert troops under the aegis of BSF Guwahati Frontier seized 224 bottles of banned cough syrup and 5 kg ganja along the Indo-Bangladesh border while attempting to smuggle into Bangladesh. In view of the sensitivity of the border, drug trafficking on the border and the increasing activities of anti-national elements, BSF soldiers are always vigilant against the issues of cross-border crimes including drug trafficking and illegal cross-border crimes and are making every effort to prevent the Commission for such crimes.
