Four Indian students in Russia lost their lives due to drowning

Four students from Tamil Nadu studying medicine in Russia are reported to have lost their lives due to drowning. They were the students of the Volgograd State Medical University in southern Russia on the bank of the River Volga. They are said to have gone for a bath in the river last Saturday while one of them was washed away. The other three are said to have died in their efforts to rescue him.

 
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi palaniswamy has expressed his condolences to the bereaved families. He has said the state officials are in touch with the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy in Moscow to bring back the mortal remains of the students.
