In Afghanistan, four students were killed in a Taliban assault on a police checkpoint in eastern Ghazni province today.

Spokesman for the Provincial Governor said 15 students and two teachers were wounded when an explosion, likely caused by rocket fire, hit the school in Andar district. No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
