Hyderabad: A free orientation seminar on “Kailasa-Manasa Sarovar Yatra” is to be held in city on Sunday, 3rd March 2019 Evening at 5.00pm at Hindi Maha Vidyalaya, Nallakunta, OU Road, Hyderabad.

 

All those who are interested in knowing more about the spiritual journey to Manasarovar are welcome to attend the Free Orientation seminar informed Dr. (Mrs.) P. Uma Venkatesh, the organizer of the seminar in a press note issued in city.

 

The Kailash-Manasarovar Yatra is considered very sacred and is undertaken as a pilgrimage by Hindus, Jains and Buddhists. The Kailash Parvat and the Manasarovar are revered by almost all religions. In a way, the Manasarovar yatra signifies ‘unity in diversity’.

 

The seminar will address questions such as the need for the yatra, its significance, the requirements for the same, etc. Many people dream of taking up the yatra but don’t know about it, the seminar will provide an opportunity for such people to know more about the same informed Dr. P. Uma.

 

The famous lake ‘Manasarovar’ is situated at the base of Mount Kailas, the abode of Lord Shiva. ‘Manas’ means the mind and ‘sarovar’ means lake. The world’s highest freshwater lake is seen as a symbol of the Mother of the Universe, Mata Parvati. Manasarovar Yatra is undertaken by hundreds of people every year. It has a religious value, apart from the enjoyment of the natural beauty.
