Freemasons COVID Relief-19 Provides Relief that includes Groceries, Cooked Food, Safety Masks, Sanitisers to the needy and Medical Kits to the healthcare workers

Hyderabad:The Freemasons of Telangana have been providing COVID-19 Relief to the needy for the past ten days ever since the Lockdown is declared.

The organisation has been providing groceries–rice, toor dal, edible oil, tamarind, chilli powder and salt. It has also been supplying cooked food at Market Street, Secunderabad and Medipally, Uppal and Bowduppal.

We have been providing this relief with the support from Rachakond Police Commissionerate, Chaitanyapuri, Medipally, Uppal and Market Street Police Stations, informed Madan Mohan Lal, Maddulete and D. Ramchandram, three Assistant Regional Grand Masters for Telangana Area. The total value of the Relief may touch Rs 10 lakhs during the period of LockDown, they added.

On request from Add. DCP–Admn Ms Shilpavalli of Rachakond Police Commissionerate and Medipally Police, Freemasons of Telangana supplied 700kgs rice, 100kgs Toor Dal, 60 litres of edible oil, 6 kgs of chilli powder. to Amma Odi, an orphanage. The occasion was graced by Mr Y. Narsimha Reddy, ACP of Malkajgir and B. Anji Reddy, Station House Officer of Medipally shared D. Ramchandram.

We have so far provided groceries to the poor, slum, hut dwellers, street-side people under Rachakonda Police Limits. Six hundred groceries bags comprised of essential groceries such as rice, oil, dal, chilli powder, tamarind etc, added Maddulete

On the request from Chaitanyapuri Police, we have supplied 100 bags of essential groceries sufficient for a family for about weekdays.

N.L.Narayana Raju, ACP Traffic of Malakajiri supervised the distribution of 100 family packs of groceries at Uppal Police Station, shared Maddulete.

Says D. Ramchandram, the cooked food is being served with the help of Market Street Police every day for fifteen days. 200 cooked food is distributed each day.

Cooked food for 200 people is tributed every day for fifteen days with the support from P. Shankar Yadav, SHO of Market Street Police Station of Hyderabad City Police.

With the support of Amma Odi, an Orphanage, cooked food is served to 200 people every day in and around Uppal, Bowduppal and Medipally limits.

We are planning to distribute 105 family packs of groceries to the slum dwellers in Bowduppal Police Limits. Another 1200 family packs of groceries which are sufficient for a family of 4/5 for weekdays will be distributed to the needy in Cherlapally area on Sunday shared Madan Mohal, Maddulete and D. Ramchandram

Freemasonry is a global organisation. It has a history of several hundreds of years. It is probably the oldest service organisation in the world. The Freemasonry is 290 years old in India. Charity is a very important part of the organisation.

Freemasonry in twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad is a little over 250 years old. The city has 23 Lodges(primary units called clubs). These include Lodge Mayo, Morland, Deccan, Ekram, Hyderabad-50, Italia Williams Manian, Raksha Sena, Naoshir Chenoy, Secunderabad, Perfect, Abhayarudra, Keys, Bhagyanagar Masters Lodge, Eagle, Model, Engineers, Daylight, Telangana, Juris, Lewis, Bankers, Neelagiri and AVM Lala. The organisation is spread over Geographical areas

such as Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Warangal and Nalgonda. It has nearly 800 members across Telangana.
