Former President Pranab Mukherjee’s mortal remains were brought today to his residence, 10, Rajaji Marg,  from the army hospital where he breathed his last yesterday.

General public are now paying tributes. Due to requirement of following social distancing norms and other covid related protocols the mortal remains of the former President will proceed in hearse van instead of normal gun carriage. Cremation is scheduled in the afternoon.

A seven-time parliamentarian and recipient of Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honour, he was one of the most admired and respected political figures.
