  • Future Generali India Insurance appoints Shreeraj Deshpande as Interim Head

    Hyderabad: Future Generali India Insurance Company Limited (FGII), the general insurance arm of the joint venture between retail game changers Future Group and global insurer Generali, have designated Shreeraj Deshpande, Senior Vice President & Head – Operations, Customer Service & Health Insurance as Principal Officer and Key Managerial Personnel of the Company with effect from November 17, 2018.Shreeraj will be responsible for the overall operations of FGII and will drive the strategic growth plans for the company in his tenure as interim Head in addition to his existing responsibilities.

    Shreeraj replaces KG Krishnamoorthy Rao who will take over the role of  CEO of MPI Generali Insurans Berhad (“MPI Generali”) and will relocate to Malaysia. Rao successfully headed FGII’s India business for over 11 years and led the firm to profitable growth.

    Prioir to joining Future Generali India Insurance, Shreeraj held leadership position at Bajaj Allianz where he worked for over six years. Starting his insurance career with The New India Assurance Company, he shifted to the private sector after 14 years of experience in the public sector. Shreeraj has a PhD from the University of Pune.
