Gangotri temple doors closed for winter

The Portals of Gangotri shrine were closed Thursday on the auspicious occasion of Govardhan Pooja amid Vaidic rituals in Uttarkashi District.
Our Correspondents reports that the Portals were closed in the afternoon for the winter season.
During the winter, about six months Pooja Archana of the Idols would be performed in Mukhava.
However, the Portals of Kedar Nath will be closed tomorrow on the occasion of Bhaia Dooj.
