The Board of Directors of Crescent Gold Limited has announced the appointment of Mr. Geoff Stanley as Non-Executive Chairman of the Company effective immediately. Mr. Stanley will replace Mr. Roland Hill, who previously held both the Chairman and Managing Director roles. The change was effected as part of the Company’s focus on corporate governance Mr. Hill will continue to serve in his capacity as the Company’s Managing Director.
Geoff Stanley’s career in the mining industry spans over 25 years, including 15 years based in New York in mining finance, analytical and mining advisory capacities. He has been a director of Crescent Gold since December 2006.
Geoff spent the first six years of his career as an exploration geologist with Billiton and subsequently worked in Australia as a mining analyst with Jacksons Ltd, Jardine Fleming, and the Warburg Group. He transferred to New York with the Warburg Group in 1994 and has now been a highly ranked analyst in the Australian, Canadian, and US equity markets, earning numerous prestigious awards including number one ranking in the Wall Street Journal’s “Best on the Street” survey in the Metals and Mining category. He spent the majority of his analytical career in North America with BMO Capital Markets as a Managing Director, and left to establish Riverfield Capital, a boutique resources advisory firm, which he still manages. He is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, Fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists, a past President of the New York Metals Analysts Group, and a member of numerous other industry organizations.

Mr. Stanley serves on the Board of Directors for Cluff Gold Plc. (LSE and TSX listed) and Bannerman Resources (ASX, TSX, and NSX listed).
