Gillco International School (GIS) organized a special Teacher’s Day lunch for all their teachers from primary, secondary, and senior secondary sections at Mohali Club, Phase 11. Recognizing the fact that teachers also need a day off from work, GIS took teachers to Mohali club to have fun and relaxing time.
The teachers were welcomed with flower bouquets to make them feel special and show a sign of respect and reverence for them. The decorations at the venue were equally magnificent and the teaching faculty praised the preparations.
A special lunch was organised for them which began once they reached the club. There was an assortment of dishes and had everything from scrumptious starters to full-course meals, mocktails to refreshments and desserts. The teachers loved the arrangements done for them and thanked the administration for the wonderful gesture.
Post-lunch a special dance performance by Rahul Gupta, Dance choreographer was planned for the teachers. Also fun activities and games like Tambola and Song quiz added lively moments for the teachers. Known to have a serious demeanour, the teachers let their vivacious and competitive side come out during games and had a gala time playing individually and in teams as well.
The Principal at GIS, Ms. Ruchi Sharma said, “Teachers are an important pedestal of moral thinking and education in a student’s life. Their role in students’ lives is immeasurable. To give them a break from their responsibilities, we decided to take them out for lunch and let them enjoy a day filled with food, games, and badinage. It was heartwarming to see them enjoy themselves so much and our efforts stood validated. I would like to thank the Senior Management for putting up considerable efforts to make this outing a memorable experience for teachers and the entire school.”
